Family Natural Foods started as Rapids Feed and Supply Company in 1946 by Frank Hittner. What was originally only a feed, grain and seed company, from 1958 on developed into Family Natural Foods. Though Rapids Feed and Supply still exists the main emphasis today is the Natural Health Foods business.
